Chef Peter Brinckerhoff is currently working for Vail Resorts as Chef of Heavenly's famed Tamarack Lodge. He is the former Corporate Executive Chef of Tahoe Restaurant Collection, (Bar of America, Caliente, Garwoods and Riva Grill). As well, he is the former Chef D' Cuisine of the famed Lone Eagle Grill in Incline Village and the former Food and Beverage Director of the Lake Tahoe Vacation Resorts. His many awards and recognitions include being the 2-time winner of the "Battle of the Chefs" competition. Chef Brinckerhoff started cooking at the age of 13 and has been in the restaurant business ever since. He has called Lake Tahoe his home for over 20 years and is currently pursuing his dream of bringing his amazing culinary talents to homes around the area as a Personal Chef. He wishes to share his passion for food and wine and wants to satisfy clients on a more personal level-at home. To have Peter come to your home and provide his Personal Chef Services for you and your guests is truly a luxurious, yet affordable indulgence. He has trained under several Culinary Olympic winning chefs and assisted in training programs for apprentices in cutting edge culinary talent. When asked about his favorite thing to cook, Chef Peter generally replies with, "The best meal you have ever eaten." He has competed in several American Culinary Federation competitions and sanctioned Mystery Box competitions, privately held Iron Chef competitions and corporate Garde Manger competitions. He enjoys cooking all types of food, finding new and obscure ingredients and playing with new flavors and dishes. Chef Peter also has extensive experience with wine pairings with food. Chef Peter's passion for food and hospitality is shared with his service staff, his peers, and the community where he continually gives back by volunteering his time at the annual Sample the Sierra event as well as other charitable events.
